Nova SBE and Universidade Agostinho Neto Sign Protocol
The Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) and the Faculdade de Economia of the Universidade Agostinho Neto (FECUAN) signed protocol that institutes the Program Fellow@NovaSBE.
The agreement was signed during the opening ceremony of the First NOVAFRICA Conference “Economic Development In Africa” held at NOVA on 7 and 8 September which brought to Lisbon the most renowned academic experts in economic development policies, and a set of personalities experienced in implementing these policies in Africa.
With this agreement, NOVA will receive for the next three years, two professors from that Angolan university each semester. Pedagogic and scientific development, and access to resources such as databases and libraries are some of the aspects of this program which provides Angolan teachers and researchers the access to international best practices both in teaching and research.
For Nova SBE this stands as an opportunity to learn more about the Angolan reality and generate joint research projects in the future.
Professor José Ferreira Machado, Dean of Nova SBE, evaluates this initiative as “extremely important for Nova SBE, since we have a strategy to be” the” international school that speaks Portuguese, bridging the the world that does not speak our language and the one that does, especially Africa and Brazil.”
The Program Fellow@NovaSBE is already underway with two professors from FECUAN visiting Nova SBE this semester.
