NOVAFRICA in ECONOMIA VIVA 2017
From 13 until 16 February, Nova SBE Students’ Union and Nova Economics Club will host the Economia Viva Conferences 2017 at Nova SBE.
This event aims at promoting public discussions that are essential to our society. During these days, academics, policy makers, students and other members of the civil society will be an active part of these debates.
NOVAFRICA will be present in two sessions of the Economia Viva Conferences 2017.
On 15 February, NOVAFRICA organizes a roundtable entitled “What Paths for Development in Africa?” in the Salão Nobre of Nova SBE, at 11 a.m. Several guests will participate in this session, including representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs of Portugal, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, VIDA NGO, Camões Institute, RDP África, and NOVAFRICA.
This session will be conducted in Portuguese.

On 16 February, we will also be present in the roundtable entitled “Migrations – Bridges or Walls?”, with the participation of Professor Cátia Batista, Scientific Director of NOVAFRICA. This session will take place in Salão Nobre of Nova SBE at 5h30 p.m.
Other participants include Professor Christian Dustmann from University College London, Ambassador Francisco Seixas da Costa, Marta Bronzin, Head of the office of the International Organization for Migration in Lisbon and José Conde Rodrigues, President of the Portuguese Council of the European Movement, as moderator of the session.
