NOVAFRICA News: NOVAFRICA Predoc Lara Bohnet received FFMS best thesis award

The Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos awarded Lara Bohnet, former NOVAFRICA predoc and Nova SBE student, with a prize for her master in economics thesis.

Considered by the Foundation one of the best thesis in economics and management in 2022, Lara Bohnet’s thesis measured the labor market impact of the forced return of over half a million Portuguese individuals from Africa at the time of the decolonization – and specifically how it did not create unemployment.
