NOVAFRICA discusses the Health System in Guinea-Bissau
The future community health strategy in Guinea-Bissau was debated in a workshop promoted by the Global Fund in close collaboration with UNICEF.
Pedro Vicente, scientific director of NOVAFRICA, participated and presented an impact assessment of non-financial incentive systems for Community Health Workers (CHWs). This was the result of a research project developed by NOVAFRICA in Guinea Bissau together with NGO Vida. The main results of the study highlight how social status recognition improves the performance of CHWs and the health indicators of households and children under 5 years.
