NOVAFRICA Vacancy for Research Internships (Portugal)

NOVAFRICA is accepting applications for Research Internships.

We are looking for a research intern to be integrated in the following ongoing NOVAFRICA field research project:
Raising Educational Aspirations – An Experimental Evaluation (Lisbon, Portugal)

This internship is running from July to December 2022, with the possibility of extension. The internship does not pay a salary, but work expenses will be covered.

The intern will be responsible for giving support to the implementation of a large-scale randomized controlled trial in Portugal. The main tasks will be related to contacting multiple stakeholders, recording, and compiling information and planning together with the Project Coordinator all necessary steps for a successful execution of the research.

Candidates will be selected based on their interest in research in economic development and education. Some personal characteristics, like industriousness and capacity to build productive inter-personal relationships, are also important. Working knowledge of Portuguese is needed. Knowledge of Stata or other statistical software is a plus.
